Tourney Dates Flip-Flop Boys & Girls

Starting in 2018, the date of the girls state sectional tournament and state finals will flip flop with the boys state sectional tournament and state finals, alternating every year. In other words, in 2017, the girls state sectional tourn. is the first weekend in February and the boys is the second weekend in February. In 2018, it will be reversed; the boys will go first. Same applies to the state finals for the teams.

For purposes of "counting" the teams as outlined above, every 5 individuals that enter as individuals will count as 1 team for this purpose. In other words, this year, the Girls (North) section had 41 teams and 21 individuals. The 21 individuals would now be considered 4 teams, so for purposes of advancing individuals to the state finals, we had 45 teams this year.

The same thing will be done for the county tournament.
